Supply Chain Facilities in EMEA

Tosoh Bioscience products are manufactured in a number of highly specialised locations in Japan, prior to their shipment to Europe.  

Over the past few years, our country-based Customer Service operations have undergone an indepth optimisation process.  This has led to the consolidation of our Order Entry, Warehousing and Logistics into a single European Distribution Platform (EDP) located in Tessenderlo, Belgium.

Due to increased demand, this centre was recently expanded from 6,000 square feet to 18,000 square feet.  Over and above cool and non-cool reagent storage facilities, it includes a dedicated Analyser Service Centre and is equipped with the latest lean-lift technology for the management of parts and accessories.

This EDP continues to benefit our Customers by allowing smooth and efficient treatment of orders, ensuring that Tosoh meets and exceeds delivery expectations.  “This is yet another example on how Tosoh Bioscience plans to improve operations and deliver best-in-class service to our Customers” said Tosoh Bioscience’s Business Unit Vice President, Jacques Vanderlinden.

The EDP is expected to distribute € 70 million of products to Tosoh Bioscience Customers throughout Europe, Middle East and Africa in 2006.  It will also provide ample room for expansion into the next decade, to cope with the projected future growth in demand for Tosoh’s products.
