Junior Product Manager - EMEA


The Junior Product Manager - EMEA reports to the Head of Marketing - EMEA and is responsible for the support of the Immunoassay and HPLC Product Managers - EMEA. This position will support both product line managers on customer interaction, launch planning, execution and commercialization. Key measures of success are downstream processes ensuring customer satisfaction and advocacy. The role requires to collaborate globally and regionally across various functions inside and outside of TOSOH.

The successful candidate needs some basic Product Marketing and IVD experience in order to support developing successful strategies and contribute to the tactical execution. We look for a Junior Product Manager – EMEA who is able to create excitement and provides all the needed support, enabling the product line managers to execute with success despite challenging market conditions while ensuring compliance with the Tosoh Code of Ethics, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures – a pre-requisite in the In-Vitro-Diagnostics market.

Your responsibilities 

In global collaboration with relevant functional leaders e.g. Market Intelligence, Marketing Communication and Sales, the Junior Product Manager - EMEA

  • Understands the unique medical technology, application and maintenance of Tosoh products.
  • Supports handling customer requests and complaints, prepares analytics and definitions of corrective actions to technical product / service issues.
  • Develops and sustains effective cross-team communication and working relationships with colleagues.
  • Manages the administrative part of Marketing group activities in compliance with defined deadlines.
  • Supports working with customers to identify their technical specifications and determines what documentation is required to incorporate the products into customer applications.
  • Establishes and constantly enriches a profound product, technology and application knowledge base – the source for all product information needed inside and outside of Tosoh.
  • Executes market and customer research to permanently collect relevant internal and external input on customer’s needs, industry success factors and competitive advantages.
  • Supports new product launches successfully – coordinates all necessary tasks to enable the product for Sales following Tosoh procedures & policies.
  • Supports creating compelling value propositions, convincing messaging and successful positioning towards customer needs.
  • Supports the planning and execution of an omni-channel content and communication strategy – gathers and provides relevant product insights to those creating content, collaterals and campaigns.
  • Increases customer product awareness and desire to buy by preparing presentations for trainings and workshops relevant for targeted audiences.
  • Maintains and develops motivation and competence by creating Sales arguments, that support all internal Sales and distribution partners convincing customers of Tosoh product quality and accuracy via regular education and information sharing.

Your Profile:

  • Bachelor in Science, Engineering or Marketing.
  • Initial job experience in In-Vitro-Diagnostics industry, life sciences or related industries.
  • Initial experiences in product and/ or market management.
  • Experience in IVD customer facing position.
  • Strategic mindset and the ability to work autonomously in challenging market conditions.
  • Strong Product Marketing capabilities and problem solving skills.
  • Basic project management skills, with proven ability to clearly define objectives, priorities, develop project plans, and manage to deadlines.
  • Ability to work in a matrixed environment, strong cross-functional collaboration mindset and capabilities.
  • Basic analytical skills related to data analysis, market research, competition mapping and identification of key business insights.
  • Fluent in English is mandatory, every additional language is welcome.
  • This position is home-office based, but may require travel in the EMEA region.
