Sales and Marketing Manager

In order to reinforce the Sales and Marketing organization for our Diagnostics Operations in Europe, Middle-East and Africa, we are looking for an experienced


Sales and Marketing Director


This position reports directly to the President of the Bioscience Operations.
The Sales and Marketing Director holds responsibility of sales revenues and profitability, and provides strategic leadership to ensure Regions/Territories objectives and goals are achieved.

Your challenge

  • Lead the Diagnostics sales and marketing organization to achieve market penetration and sales goals
  • Responsible for providing strategic leadership, planning and direction for the sales and marketing organization
  • Develop and implement a clear business plan, process and programs that drive sales for the EMEA region in line with Tosoh Bioscience Diagnostics Business Sales and Marketing strategy
  • Delivery of annual targets in sales, gross margin and costs for the Diagnostic Business Unit EMEA
  • Delivery of business growth in exploiting new business opportunities
  • Measure customer satisfaction and develop strategies for improvement
  • Establish effective business tracking tools
  • Manage targeted customers and distributors together with the sales team
  • Represent the Diagnostics business unit in EMEA region, community and Tosoh group
  • Drive relationships with key customers to positively influence and position the Division’s product portfolio to achieve established sales goals
  • Partner with the support functions as member of executive staff
  • Focus on continuous improvement in managing commercial processes
  • Create a working environment that supports cross-functional effectiveness and acceleration of incremental growth
  • Lead effective talent management strategies within the Region, including implementation of high quality talent acquisition and talent development skills
  • Maintain understanding of current and new technology in a competitive environment
  • Promote cross-divisional communication, strategy and tactical planning to maximize revenue generation
  • Establish a strong liaison with EMEA service providers such as Quality Assurance & Regulatory Affairs, Supply Chain, Compliance & Shared Services
  • Ensure compliance with the Code of Ethics, the Quality Management System, the Company Policies and the Corporate Procedures.

Your Profile

  • Master degree in Economics, Science, Business Management
  • 15+ years in commercial roles in B2B environments involving high-level negotiations
  • Very good knowledge of the market of in-vitro Clinical Diagnostics
  • Both strategic and operational commercial/business skills with Key Account Management experience
  • People management experience
  • International and multicultural exposure
  • Experience in operating in a Japanese business context is highly recommendable
  • Empathic, fair, inspiring and natural born leader Proven innovator and inspirational leader with track record of delivering and exceeding sales targets and goals over an extended period of time
  • Demonstrated ability to influence and work successfully with cross-functional partners and customers
  • Ability to work in a geographic diverse business environment, within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environment
  • Background of successfully driving sales when there are multiple decision-makers across numerous functional areas within the sales environment
  • Fluency in English, additional languages (French, German, Italian) are a clear asset.
